Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Samuel received his undergraduate degree in Allied Health from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. He completed an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and a Master of Science in Nursing at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. In the two years between earning his two nursing degrees, Samuel worked at the Duke Wound Clinic. After graduating with his master’s, he moved to Connecticut to complete a one-year residency program for nurse practitioners in Family Medicine. Samuel’s clinical interests range from endocrinology to addiction medicine to wound care. He is passionate about serving the underserved and helping others find strength within themselves.“I see medicine as a team effort. I want patients to know that I encourage open discussion and having them provide feedback on how we can work together to help them to attain their health goals.”When not working, Samuel enjoys playing guitar, skiing and going out with friends.
