Personal Injury LawyerMichael grew up in Alabama not far from the famous Talladega racetrack. He attended undergraduate education at Emory University in Atlanta where he received degrees in Psychology and Philosophy. Next, he attended Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, graduating in 2005. Shortly after graduation, he came to Colorado in 2006. Michael started this legal career working for 4 years at a mid-sized personal injury law firm in Denver. For the following 12 years he worked for one of the largest personal injury firms in the front range before founding Born & McCaffrey with his partner Peter McCaffrey. Michael has represented well over a thousand injury victims in his career. He has litigated 500 court cases. He has tried cases in counties all over Colorado. He has briefed and argued appeals in the appellate courts. This experience ultimately led to him leaving the big firm life to form Born & McCaffrey in order to provide a more client centered and personal representation than a large law firm is able to provide. When Michael is not working, he enjoys many of the typical Colorado activities. In addition to hiking and skiing, he enjoys gardening his herb garden, cooking Sunday dinners, spending time with his family, SEC football in the fall, and walking his dog in the park.
