  • Flexion-Distraction Therapy

Flexion Distraction Technique is performed by utilizing a specific table that allows for movement of the spine in a nonaggressive, therapeutic manner. Pressure is delivered to the spine through the doctor’s palm, while the lower half of the table is distracted out slightly, and then moved into flexion and back to neutral. This technique can be used in the cervical and lumbar regions of the spine. This therapy opens the apophyseal joints and reduces posterior disc stress, reduce intradiscal pressure, and open intervertebral foraminal openings giving patency to the nerves. This technique is excellent for patients with intervertebral disc diagnosis, post-surgical patients, and those who may not tolerate the classic, diversified spinal manipulation.

  • Cold-Laser Therapy

This technique is non-invasive and utilizes low-level lasers to improve healing on a cellular level. The laser has scientific data that proves it bio-modulates cells, decreases pain, decreases inflammation, increases ATP production, increases wound healing times, increases post-surgical recovery, regenerates peripheral nerves, potentiates central neurons, and increases blood supply. The cold laser can be used on a variety of conditions such as acute and inflammatory conditions, neuromuscular pain syndromes, arthritis, disc/cartilage injuries, neuropathies, wounds/burns, fractures, and post-surgical scar healing.

  • IASTM/MRT

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a hand-held metal tool of various sizes used to locate and treat restrictions in the fascia and muscle tissue. IASTM also decreases healing time, breaks-up adhesions and scar tissue and helps with chronic inflammation, while increasing blood flow to the area. This can also be used on sprain/strains injuries that cannot tolerate diversified treatment. IASTM may be used in conjunction with any of our chiropractic techniques. Myofascial Release Technique (MRT) can mobilize trigger points by hand or Hypervolt/Theragun.

  • Electric Stimulation

Electric stimulation applies an electrical current that helps strengthen muscles, block pain signals, and improve blood circulation. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is a therapy that uses low voltage electrical current to provide pain relief. A TENS unit consists of a battery-powered device that delivers electrical impulses through electrodes placed on the surface of your skin. The electrodes are placed at or near nerves where the pain is located or at trigger points. E theory is that the electric current stimulates nerve cells that block the transmission of pain signals, modifying your perception of pain. The other theory is that nerve stimulation raises the level of endorphins, which are the body’s natural pain-killing chemical. The endorphins then block the perception of pain.

  • Speeder Board

A speeder-board is an adjustment tool used by chiropractors to manipulate joints of the extremities such as the hands, feet, elbow, and ankle. It helps chiropractors use a low-grade force but get enough speed to move the joint how they want.

  • (SOT) Blocking

This technique is gentle, yet effective. This utilizes the placement of SOT blocks under the iliac crest of the pelvic region, and greater trochanter of the hip. This technique works to correct dysfunction in the pelvis and has been shown to help with conditions such as low back and sciatic pain.

  • Adjusting/HVLA

Diversified Spinal Manipulation (adjusting) is characterized by a high-velocity, low-amplitude (high speed, low force) impulse that is delivered through a joint of the body using the doctor’s hands.

  • Cupping Therapy

This technique is used to improve recovery time, cellular immunity, alleviating pain/discomfort, muscle knots, and increasing blood flow while reducing inflammation. It is an alternative therapy used for individuals who are sensitive to traditional MRT (myofascial release technique or deep tissue massage).
